The Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is intended for anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes, but is not limited to: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches. It's also ideal for: moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, babysitters, nannies, guardians or anyone caring for children. In this course, one will learn some of the following:
- preventative measures for a child's safety
- finding the problem
- to learn the difference between infant CPR and child CPR
- how to recognize if your child needs CPR
- how to properly administer an epinephrine auto injector (severe allergic reaction)
- how to use an AED
- how to recognize if a child is choking
- how to clear a child's airway if he or she is choking
